What we collect
When you use the enquiry form on this website, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, and, if you include them, your preferred dates, guest count and message.
Why we collect it
We use this information to reply to your enquiry, answer questions about The Hayloft, and, if you go on to book, to confirm and manage your stay.
Our legal basis for doing this is that it is necessary to take steps at your request before a booking is made, and to support our legitimate interest in running a small holiday let clearly and responsibly.
Where your information goes
Enquiry messages are sent through Resend and forwarded to thehayloftatbarton@gmail.com. We do not use a database on this website, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
We only share your information where needed to run the booking or where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
If you enquire but do not book, we normally keep your message for up to 2 years from our last contact, then delete it. If you book, we may keep the relevant correspondence for longer where reasonably needed for booking records, accounting or legal obligations.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set non-essential cookies. We do not use analytics or tracking cookies.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it in some circumstances, or receive a copy in a portable format where that right applies. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how your information has been handled.
